Apparently Hank was originally going to be based on a Union Pacific Challenger. His final basis, the Pennsylvania Railroad K4 Pacific, is already too large for the British loading gauge, yet his still manages to run on those rails. But if he were a Challenger... he would do more than DESTROY the British rails.
One of the screenshots here shows the concept for Hank.

I am aware I shouldn't be uploading stuff that I don't own mixed together with other stuff I don't own, but I'm doing it for the sake of a meme only. I might take this down if any bogan's absolutely sure if I should.

Bet he wouldn't challenge against a Big Boy Locomotive.
But in all seriousness, back then, that was true. But today, only Sam the Virginian 2-6-6-6 can fit into British Rails, when I learned that they only animated through the budget.
Then again, I didn't think American locomotives could fit on the rails, much less on their maximum wheel gauge of only 18 wheels total on an engine, never mind 20.
