For those of you unfamiliar with the term, it's basically a third party controller with a GameCube controller-like design that connects to the Wiimote like a Classic Controller.

Looks epic, doesn't it?
Like many fan-made proposed designs I've seen of it, it seems to have the control stick design from a Wii U gamepad and Pro Controller with just one slim ring on it instead of multiple for a normal GameCube controller. The stick design applies for both sticks so the right stick isn't slim like the original GC controller design. What's cool is that with the position of the sticks, it would feel like using an Xbox controller so it would be comfortable when playing FPS games (the Pro Controller looks cool and all, but if the right stick was placed lower and the ABYX buttons being placed aboved the right stick, it'd be more comfortable for certain games, like the shooter games).

Here's the top view of it, showing the shoulder buttons.

As expected, the left side gets its own version of the Z button-shaped button due to there being an extra added button for the Wii U controllers. It seems the L and R triggers are now the ZL and ZR triggers/buttons. Judging by what I see here, they don't really seem to have the trigger design from the original GameCube controller. They might not make a spring-like click when pressed - surely you know what I mean by that if you used a GC controller before.

Some of you might not like third party stuff (I personally prefer first party stuff myself all the way), but apparently these GC-like plug-into-Wiimote controllers are licensed by Nintendo, although they're made by PDP. Rest assured that it would be a high-quality controller to use, which would be perfect for playing Super Smash Bros. 4 with (in which PDP mostly made the controller for).

I will certainly be getting and trying one of these out for not only a nostalgic feel (I still have normal GameCube controllers around to use with the official Nintendo GameCube controller adapter for Wii U), but for a fun, comfortable way to play the new Smash Brothers with, aside from using the Classic (which I use with Brawl) and Pro controllers.

Fun Fact: Since these plug into your Wiimote, the Wiimote would recognize the controller as a Classic Controller so you can play games or Virtual Console games that are compatible with that controller with this GC-like controller!:D

Fact that I hate myself for: When I first heard the news of this (it was before Nintendo announced their GC controller adapter for the Wii U), I was excited and wanted to see what it looked like. Apparently the design was revealed at E3 2014 and I only found out last night... (first saw it from a video of fellow pro Smash players Mew2King and Armada giving their thoughts on it) the design was revealed a month ago and I didn't bloomin' realize it until now. Stupid me.:stupidme:

Here are Peach and Yoshi-themed versions of the controllers. There maybe or maybe not be more on the way, like Luigi.

What do you think? Will you get one? Will you get the GameCube adapter for Wii U and use official GameCube controllers instead? Or will you get both for more ways to play and/or so there are basically more controllers for friends and family to use when playing?
